Fantyastic render, what method do you use to clean up these models? I find them to be extremely faceted.

Hi Mike i make them into proxies in Maxwell Studio then i make the arrangement in sketchup. This means i can get the maxwell textures right and sketchup stays light and fast. I do the smoothing and work on the geometry in maxwell studio. You could try playing with the smoothing section of sketchup but i guess this depends on how your engine reads it. I know this method also works with Maxwell. I think the main body is smoothed to 40 degrees.

Leon the textures come with the model it's free. I think these planes all originated in a playstation game called hawx.

Thanks, not that advanced with Maxwell yet, not enough time to dedicate to the steep learning curve. I appreciate the heads up to that feature.

Feel free to ask any questions Mike i have been using Maxwell a few years now. Studio is a bit daunting at first sight i remember, but its quite intuitive.

Thanks, I think unpacking has to come first before I get into anything that needs careful thought.
