Maxwell materials.

OK, moving on to Maxwell with all its quirks etc.
What I need to know is the best method for organisation of materials and the use of said materials. I have been informed that it is best to assign materials in sketchup but am finding the materials in the next limit database are varied in their ability to be imported into a library within the sketchup palette which really makes things slower and more tedious.
Any suggestion?

I either make my own though the plugin or use bought catalogues. I use mxed app to make them. I never use the material library feature of sketchup. Jason Maranto did process the sorry textures. He created thumbnails that can be used in the material browser in sketchup. Then you use the auto mxm feature to replace them ate render time.
