[REQ] Apply materials randomly...kind of
-
Let's say I have a whole bunch of objects that I want to apply maybe five different materials too in a semi random way.
Let's also say I would like to have all five materials occur approximately the same amount of times.
Would that be doable? -
You mean components and groups right?
For instance 5 copies of a component with 5 materials applied randomly to each?

Not a click of a button either...
I have used 20+ materials to randomize on wooden beams, wood planks, wooden windows and façade pannels before... It's a stupid work to have just to make a render look good and I hope I'm doing it anymore.
