Vali InstantRoad problem

Hello all,
I'm having major difficulties with Vali InstantRoad. I've tried everything but I cannot get the road to place on the terrain. I've tried a very basic model, and whether I use road by center line, or by face, and any of the style, it just wont place onto the surface.
What happens is it creates a flat road at the elevation of the grouped face. I have the box for drop to terrain picked, but nothing happens when I hit make road.

Any ideas? I need to get this fixed fairly urgently!

Would like to help but it's a subscription plugin and I do not have it, is there not a place to ask the author on his site?
