Jpg to skm
-
I have optimised jpg images I use as textures. In making a .skm copy using the 'save as' command in the material browser dialog, the resulting .skm file is much bigger than the original .jpg. Typically a 25k jpg is saved as a 450k .skm. Is this right and if so is there a fix for making the .skm file to the size of the original jpg. I have a model using 4 such images and the model file size is 1.5mb - far too big.
Thanks in advance

a skm is a zip folder with a few additional files...
it has a thumbnail, a couple of short xml descriptor files and a folder with your jpg in it...
it can never be the same size as the original jpeg...if you post an original jpg I will see if it can be trimmed a little, but I doubt it...
