      Mission side table.jpg
Saw this simple Mission-style table on the One Kings Lane web site this morning. To me, it looks like a piece that Harvey Ellis might have designed. It's also something I can see myself actually making: Simple shapes screwed together. No joinery. Mmmmm.

Nice one! I'd like to see the screws covered with raised square wood or black metal plugs. Good work, though I find the render dark for the wood color.

          Nice.

I was thinking Harvey Ellis when I first saw it.

I've got some bronze oval head screws left over from when I built Ian's cradle that would be prefect for that.

            Thank you, gentlemen.
The wood does look dark in the render, but the original is dark, too. Out west, the Greene brothers would probably have covered the screws with square ebony plugs as pbacot suggests. Rounded over all the edges while they were at it. I kind of like the exposed screws, though; I've seen that detail on other Mission pieces.
