      segmented table render.jpg

A little morning practice. A versatile coffee table by Peter Hvidt, a Danish architect and designer who lived from 1915 to 1986. The piece consists of six identical three-sided tables, which can be arranged in pairs or triplets in a variety of configurations. The tops in the original are teak; the legs, brass. The table (tables?) are for sale on the 1stdibs.com web site.
I did the render in Shaderlight.

Very good. and the bamboo is a nice alternative to teak.

Out of curiosity, do you draw a face for the floor or is it just the SketchUp ground plane receiving the shadows?

Thanks, Dave. I could say that the piece is on a large sheet of seamless background paper. But in truth, I don't draw a face on the ground plane. However, the model does rest on the ground plane.
