Working on a set of construction docs, trying to make a deadline. Sketchup 2014 crashes. When I try to open a backup or autosave file it says some pages may be missing and to revert to recent auto saved files. The best I can get is one page out of seven!!!! Please tell me this isn't happening.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there anything that can be done? Is there anyway to avoid it? I have committed completely to running my design business with sketchup and have spent many many hours on the learning curve. But, seriously, If I were drafting by hand this would be that same as someone randomly coming by and setting my drawings on fire. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

          Hi-

That definitely sounds like a bug in LayOut. You may be able to reduce your exposure to the issue by regularly manually saving the file to a backup file name, but that's an annoyance that shouldn't be necessary. I'd be very interested to get a copy of your corrupt file, especially if you've found a way to reliably reproduce the problem.

Also, for faster response from the SketchUp team I'd recommend posting in the official SketchUp forum (forums.sketchup.com). Except during a release, I tend to only have the time to read SketchUcation a few times a month.

          Thanks,
          Marc
