Oscar Niemeyer desk
-

Saw this desk on the 1stdibs web site. It was designed in the 1990s by Oscar Niemeyer, probably the most influential Brazilian architect ever. Among many other things, Niemeyer designed Brasilia, the country's capital. I've seen this desk in amboyna veneer as well as something that resembles rosewood. I used SketchUp's basic cherry texture, and I did the render with Shaderlight.

Lovely shape. The wood texture is a little dull though, perhaps a little waxing would bring it to life.

Thanks, Box. I should probably tweak the render settings to make the wood look more polished.

Nice. Have you seen the desk in person?

Dave,
Like most stuff I model, I see it only online. Haven't seen the desk in person.
