A Flag Case
-
Up at Pi this morning because I couldn't sleep. What else would I do at that time of the day besides drawing in SketchUp? I did this as a dry run for a video tutorial inspired by a new SketchUp user's questions. You can't see it so well in this image but there is a piece of glass in front of the flag.

While I was drawing it, I got to wondering if folks in other countries make display cases for their flags and how they fold the flags.

It makes perfect sense to model a flag case by the dawn's early light.

Thanks David. Unfortunately it was still dark after I finished modeling and rendering. When I drove to work it was black out there.

Very nice Dave...

Thank you, sir.
I wound up with a slightly revised version after doing the tutorial.

Added some router work and folded the edges of the flag?

Only the profile on the edges of the base. Nothing change with the flag.
Carsten, I imagine you could come up with a nice box for your flag.
