Something old, something new

I saw this coffee table today on the 1stdibs web site. The base is new, made from painted and gilded wood. The top holds some 18th century Venetian painted panels.
The construction is just simple mortise-and-tenon joinery. Fortunately, the dealer who posted the table on 1stdibs included a straight-on photo of the top panels. I couldn't resist using that photo as a texture.

Excellent! Very nice. It looks like an interesting table though I'm not fond of the legs.
