      Scroll foot chest.png

A little morning practice. This is based on a blanket chest made in Pennsylvania between 1820 and 1840. The original is made of wide planks of yellow pine. The scrolled feet on the front and the turned ones on the back are original. There's a till inside for small things. I think the dovetail arrangement is unusual.

Nice style and overlay. I'm looking forward to your next morning practice, maybe you can do an evening practice to shorten the time? πŸ˜‰

Thank you Carsten. Maybe I'll have time for some evening practice, too. Work to do in between, though.

            Dave,
Excellent,as usual. And in keeping with the original piece, you surely cut all those dovetails by hand instead of using a jig (or, as we call it in SketchUp, a plug-in).
            Best,
            dh

              Thank you David.

As for the dovetails, let's just say you're right. πŸ˜„
