What great news, thank you so much for the update, Chris!
Just one issue: Exporting a Sketchy Replay animation does not seem to work (see screenshot).
Any idea how to resolve this? Many thanks & greetings from Cologne! Thanks for reporting! This will be fixed in the next update. Meantime the export animation feature works in SU2013 and below only.

Thanks for the swift reply, Anton!

Mr.K. has posted working solutions for camera recording and Sketchy Replay in this forum. Maybe you can integrate them in to your improved version of SP. Thank you for bringing Sketchy Physics back to life!

Great! I found the post: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=61%26amp;t=36029%26amp;p=341925#p317654
Will investigate -
Oh that old mod I made... wouldn't use it as more then a reference point(i.e. which SP parts govern recordings), but what I made was all one shot working in very specific conditions code.
-
This amazing!!!!! Thanks Anton. Regrettable it does not work Mr.K. mouse script. But it is super that extension.
I had almost forgotten this plugin....
Thank you again!

Hello,
I am using Sketchup 14.1.1282 and Windows 8, all 64bits.
I guess I'm supposed to download/extract into Google/Google Sketchup 8/ plugins and then find there :Sketchyphysics (directory)
SketchyPhysics.rb (file)and... just launch Sketchup ?
What else if SU doesn't see Sketchyphysics ?
Maybe I missed something ?Thank you all for your help, and Anton for his labor.
Zoltan -
You say you have SU 2014, but posted in SU8 plugins folder. SU2014 has its ow plugins folder: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins
Keep in mind this release works on Windows only and has some bugs that I created while rewriting the code. Next release will be better.

Hi Anton, great stuff. Any chance you can enhance the output so that it can be rendered in a program like Kerkythea or Thea or .....
I had a long work around to get it into to Kerkythea but it was a pain to do long animations.
Here is a quick render from Kerkythea using SKPH.
Thanks!

I'll look into, but can't promise anything.

Hi, I'm on Win7 and have SketchUp 14 (free). I downloaded the SketchyPhysics_3.3.0.zip file, installed the files in C:\Users*UserName\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins* and can't get it to work
One reason - I think - is that I have no "Plugins" menu:but the main reason stems from the following Load Errors:
[pre:38j7kzib]Error Loading File C:/Users/UserName/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2014/SketchUp/Plugins/SketchyPhysics/main.rb
Error: #<RuntimeError: An error occurred while trying to load Ruby FFI!

Seems awkward that youβd start trying to update SP when you were working on a full rewriteβ¦You must have hit a snag (or got bored). Tho I do see how working directly with SP would help, so no complaining hereβ¦But you should have posted you were going to do this on the other thread
-
New update will come today, and well see if it works. Sorry for inconvenience.

No inconvenience at all really glad that SP is being worked on for the newer SU versions.
Thank you. -
@RobiBlue According to your log, you have your name as 'UserName' but you should change it to your actual name. If you install SU2014 this path should be automatically created. SU2014 plugins are located in %appdata%
-
@Anton_S yeah, I changed the name when I posted the log. Assume that the UserName is correct.
I just realized the following entries in the log:
Error; #<RuntimeError; An error occurred while trying to load Ruby FFI! 5; Access is denied. - C;/Users/UserName/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2014/SketchUp/Plugins/SketchyPhysics/lib/2.0/ffi_c.so
and therein lied the problem Norton AV has some weird "insight WS.Reputation.1" score, which quarantines files it thinks are not safe because not many users have reported it as safe, or the developer didn't submit it to their safe-list https://submit.symantec.com/dispute/insight/ which I have done now.
Sometimes these AV are a PITA but more than that, they save one from a lot of troubleso far I got SP3.3 working now.
Thank you!

Very well, although you might want to transfer to SP3.4 : http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=61%26amp;t=58936
