Instant Roof Nui

Have you tried the new Instant Roof Nui? Err Mah Gawd!
It's soooo awesome. I already owned Instant Roof, non-subscription, does a bunch of nice stuff that I couldn't live without; complex roofs and such. While at the Vali Architects site the other day trying to fix an issue of my own making, I saw the new Instant Roof Nui. It's pretty kool. New UI, Full Framing of roofs, Take offs and take off log, Gutters, Details, Dutch Hips, the list just goes on... Check it out. It's subscription now, yearly $39.00 but man... I love it already.

Chuck Vali has updated a bunch of his scripts and it seems he's hitting his stride with the user interfaces. You've never seen such customizable architectural components made on the fly.

He has some amazing plugins, however I am not going to pay a subscription for anything, which is too damn bad as this is awesome.

I know... I hate subscriptions too. But, it's $143 a year for all of them. And they are so very useful.

I don't mind paying subscriptions for good software. However, I also work in places where there is no internet coverage and Chuck's plugins require internet coverage. Too bad, otherwise I would subscribe to all of his plugins in a flash.

I've been digging the instant fence and rail. On most of the plugins--if you want close up detail, you have to rework to some extent, but for expanses of railing it's unbeatable. I use instant roof (but not nui). It often helps with basic shapes but I do a lot of work to it after.
I hope the subscription thing evolves some. Because I move office to home with my laptop (permanent implant) I have to revive my subscription every time I use the fence tool.

Lo malo de sketchup es que hay que tener una indinidad de plugins para poder trabajar adecuadamente, deberían tener un programa completo aun que se pague un poco mas.
