      Hi Guys,

I'd love to try writing something like this, but I'm nowhere even close to knowing how to start it. I'd love to see if it's possible to write a script that will selectively reset the UV scale of textures of objects that have had the scale tool used on them.

I'm actually hoping to use this on Dynamic Components to reset scale of textures after adjustment. As I understand it, this is one of the current limitations of DC's. I'm creating a series of DC's for the firm I work for, and while we don't really use a lot of textures for windows/doors and such, it'd be nice to be able to embed wood grain and compacted earth textures that don't get wildly distorted after we're done with adjustment.

Let me know if anyone has any thoughts or questions! It'd definitely be something I'd be willing to pay for, how much can be discussed.

      Thanks!

      Matt

I often find that when painting the siding on my houses that one level will have UVs offset to one side or another. the two UV levels will not line up. I could use something that would drill down into each group/comp and reset all the uv's to a uniform scale and alignment.

Have a look at Tig's Descaler.

Sounded perfect at first, but alas: he designed it not to mess with DC's 😞
