MY digital painting journey
-
Incredible, we have a real talent here!! I'm a fan of your real watercolours too, majid. Keep it up!! Do you paint everything on a single layer? Or keep everything separate?
-
Thank you Olisha
Yeap, I painted all on a single layer, while am aware that usually they paint over different layers to have more control. I am noob and no education at this field and so am continuing my traditional experience. Just saw http://ctrlpaint.com/ and downloaded some of lessons. (Vimeo is filtered in my country and hard to reach). -

Will be for your next one!

Thank you
Just add this one : http://yegane-art.com/SImages/GImages/46_b2.jpg
a rural scene
hope you like -
Majid - the portrait is lovely work. Only tip I'd suggest is to add some jitter to your brush settings in PS. This just breaks up the edges of the brush strokes slightly, and give a more natural painterly feel.Regardless, this is beautiful work and I can't wait to see more

Do you use wax to define the white edges of the trees? Like a tjanti (batik) method? Loving it!
-
Dear Oli
I didn't used vax at this painting, just let it be clean paper, maybe could show you next time that start painting and take some photoes/ I used a layering method that gives me a full control over edges. I had to do this way, to be able to use my "Part" times each day, a sort of dry method...... I prefer this oneor even this one:
that was just beside the village and done in almost less than 2 hours
@ Andy
Thank you for tip
will keep in mind.
you know, I feel veeery happy with digital painting... sort of dreamy magic is to me -
I like the last one. Wonderful baroque light from nowhere.
Achieving it in watercolor (painting the light with dark colors) is very hard. You are a real painter. -
Animals seems very precise! And very cool landscape color!
-
Dear Majid,
You're a very talented artist!
-
Thank you my friend
Am shifting my job and am try to plan to paint again. -
Very nice paintings.
-
Oh WOW...love it...!
You are a talented bastard aren't you...?
....do I sound envious..?....jealous perhaps..?...well I am...!!
[EDIT]
Footnote : Apparently the word 'bastard' is considered offensive in some countries.....in Australia it is used as a term of endearment when used in this context. So, no offence intended (that should cover me against anyone who comes in here and shoots arrows at me)....and besides, I reckon Majid knows I love his work -
Thank you Gareth Thank you for being clear and kind
-
just did it today after a long time of no spare time!
-
Beautiful! I hope you find more "spare time". Impressed how such broad strokes can be so refined in expression.
-
Thank you
this is a wip so hope to have time to color it -
Almost finished the black and white section and am slightly adding colors to my painting.
-
Fantastic. Thanks for showing the workflow too. Have you tried Krita? Has some nice features, although with your talent you really don't need much.
-
Thank you dear forum-mate . I will give it a try as soon as possible .
