[REQ] Volmetric Tools
-
I'm looking for a tool that is similar to
Fredo's TopoShaper - http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323%26amp;t=52039
Tig's Site Tool CutNFill http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323%26amp;t=55250
ThomThom's Vertex Tools - http://www.thomthom.net/software/vertex_tools/
I'm often setting houses onto either topographically created terrain or Google Earth topological data. Each of these tools allows me to do some really kool stuff that saves me time and makes my project look better. Fredo's TopoShaper makes a fantastic piece of terrain from a graphic or a vector file. Tig's CutNFill is great for visuals and garnering data from my site and Thom's Vertex Tools allows me to manipulate the results.
I want to be able to use a tool like smoove or vertex tools to manipulate the site but have the volume of the site stay the same. So that in essence, I could try to maximize the amount of material used/disposed of. What I envision is that Thom's vertex tools would have a checkmark to enable "static volume" and whenever I pulled up terrain, terrain would sink somewhere else, preferably in another area I pre-determined.
What I'm looking for may be possible with a existing plugin or even one of these, you tell me...
