Flatten surface without hidden geometry

Hi guys,
I am working on a site plan that has an uneven level of terrain. Is there a plugin to flatten all the terrain without showing the triangle hidden geometry? Flatten it would make any modifications on site much easier for me (e.g. street layout). I've attached an image of what i'm working with.

You can hide the hidden geometry (View -> Hidden Geometry), but it will not change the discretisation of your terrain.

I'm working on a site in Montreal. It's an urban design project.
