StoneCad SU Resources
-
StoneCad, if any of you are familiar, was Owens Corning's Cultured Stone software. Now they have replaced the old software with a website. Quite a few models and textures for SketchUp available. However, I cannot seem to get the system to make a download for me. Has anyone else been able to get it to work for them?

Kris,
I just tried it and it seemed like it didn't work. I then noticed an email with directions on how to download. I was able to get a jpg.
Summary of the process - Add to cart, save cart, look at email for cart entry, open my account, open transactions, pick item, download, make material etc.
However dreamed up this system must be on drugs (not the good kind).Kris

If you go to the main page and click the drop down menu to filter fo sketchup it will give you all of the SU models and skms. I did the add to cart, then processed the cart. it gave me a download link in my account area. but the link to download failed.
crazy system...

Is what you get any good? textures, mapas?.. what are the models?

Okay, tried to get a SketchUp Hatch Pattern - didn't work.
Tried to get a jpg - this worked.
I've attached an image of the so called seamless texture. You be the judge.
There don't appear to be any models or bump maps.Kris (Kristjan, not Kristoff)
Points for having a good idea - 4/5
Points for implementation - 1/5

Kris, is there a particular StoneCAD texture image you are looking for? I have the program and most of the images on my old computer.
As I recall, because the size of the images was relatively small, although the images tiled seamlessly their repeating patterns were annoyingly obvious. I found very few that were useful.

Thanks Daniel, but no... I have the old software and all the textures from it converted. I was just hoping for upgraded stuff and more interested in any models they were providing. The jpgs are pretty easy to convert with the material importer.
