A Tall Case with Glass Doors
-
A quickie for a proposal. I still need to sort out the door pulls but I expect they'll just be round metal knobs with a dark finish. the cabinet will be in white oak with a walnut stain.

Very nice, Dave, and nicely proportioned. Why overlay doors? How would the case look if the doors were flush with the cse?
Best,

Best,
dhI was going to sat the same thing! Seems inset doors would fit with the "formal" tone of the piece. But I like it quite a bit.

Thanks, gentlemen.
As for the overlay doors, that's what my client wants. My client is the cabinetmaker and his client gets the finished product. I've been trying to talk him into inset doors for years but he won't go for it. I can kind of understand, though. The doors are sourced commercially--he can but them for less than he can make them--and going with overlay doors means he can fudge the positioning more easily if they aren't exactly the right size.
