Curiosity about hidden members

I hope this is not another one of those "tell me, hafta kill me" questions. I am wondering what purpose is served with this designation. (Probably has been discussed before?)

You can choose in your profile whether you want to be visible or not, it's on the login as well I think. It just means you don't show up as online.

Very useful if your boss/wife/friend hates that you spend your time online.

To take a look at it from an other viewpoint: Should somebody have the right to decide whether he/she shows his/her online presence to the wide public or not?

In my opinion: yes, they should have this right and here at SketchUcation they have it.

I totally agree about protection of privacy, such as it is(?). I do not disagree with those who wish to remain "unseen".
