Petite Trianon WIP
-
Took a break from the Iolani Palace to work on something easier. Interesting conundrum with this model - it was created with SU8. I opened it in SU2013 (by default) to save images, but I couldn't turn the shadows on. But when I reopened it in SU8, no problems.
East elevation
North side - need to add Corinthian capitals to the pilasters
West elevation - this side is what is usually shown in photos. Need to add fluted Corinthian columns in the center.
Close up of the south side.
-
Guardhouse and entrance gates - this opens up on the entrance court on the south side of the building.
-
Love your elevations. Just SU but look very traditional.
-
Nice work. Is it from a actual building?
-
Classical style of French architecture!

Nice quality.
Your elevations do not include some of the detail that your obliques do. Did you group the pilasters and turn them off in your straight-on elevations?
-
Thanks.
Ben, the pilaster are on the north and south elevations only. The west elevation has full Corinthian columns, which I haven't modeled yet. The east elevation is relatively plain, without pilasters or columns.

Daniel, two brilliant models that leave no doubt Sketchup can punch above it's weight!

This is superb, think its great.

Thanks, Lee. So far I've been very pleased with how this has turned out.
-
Bravo.

I am quite impressed ... but why petite? Thought it was a male, petit ...
-
Thanks, Hepf...you are correct. It is Petit.

Can't believe it's been more than a year since I worked on this. Added the columns on the west. The Corinthian capital is from BruceW's column, but the shaft and base are by me.

Great stuff mate.
Can't wait to see it finished, and rendered...!!
-
thanks, Gareth

Beautiful!

I can't believe it's been a year and missed it!
Excellent model!
