Just for fun.

Hey, that's pretty neat Bryan... what was your workflow for this? What renderer did you use?

Thank Elibjr.
Straight SU and just the Round Edges plug-in, then output to Kerky where I had to tweak the glow lights several times and tried out several HDRI backgrounds. (see thread in WIP forum)
Pretty much all circle push/pull then scale top of cylinder. Some hidden line on surface work. I really did make a few workflow mistakes in retrospect.
I'm going to try a short animation before end of year.
Here's where all the detail work went and you can't even see it in the render.

That's cool, Bryan.
Maybe add some glowing effects around your yellow light(windows?) in Photoshop...and some aliens coming out of the spaceship?

Good day to you!

Beam me up!

Careful of realism though, this might be taken as evidence by some.

Thanks ken and gubermensch!
Just goofing around.

Yeah, those crazy space cadets, huh?

I was hoping for the glow to be more natural in Kerky, but that's all I got. I could bump up the internal lighting setting that I used, but, heh, it was just for fun to inspire me to tackle my next bigger project, the Rollieflex.
I was a actually more concerned about the lighting interaction with the HDRI, so I was learning something new.
