Yes Pilou, i didn't have a yellow hdri ! I think the red is dangerous and sleazy though, also some sort of retro feel. That jeep you posted is ugly as hell, i'd prefer a mini moke or kubelwagen to that ! I'm also looking for a good DS model as well if anyone has any leads.

Ummm....It's very difficult to see the car, what with all the red. I'm wondering why you wanted it to look like that πŸ˜’

The red is a studio/artistic style. I'll do something more traditional for you ! πŸ˜‰ Did anyone else get the model and make a try ? The tyres are worth the download alone !

Thanks for the links and video Pilou. I'd prefer free but the link you gave me seems like a dead end. This is the best paid version i've found:

The last render in the outdoors looks incredible. Worthy of any commercial/advert.

Thanks Bryan, i would have liked to add a bump to the tyre wall. Just not sure if it's possible in the plugin getting the mapping right.

Two questions for you if you don't mind. How did you match the background perspective and the car? HDRI with background plate?

                                Thanks,

Ken i have matched hdr's to background plates before they can be tricky to get right. However in this image there is no back plate it's all HDR for everything. The perspective was basically trial and error. i got the car how i wanted it, then moved the the HDR until it was close and then fine tuned the car position. It was actually quite easy, the hdr is from the dosch car backgrounds collection.

By the way Ken there is a specific calculation and geometric way of setting up the camera etc. It often helps if the backplate has all the camera and lens details. The recent competition with Maxwell & Maground posed this process of matching the back plate to geometry and lighting take a look in the forums there:

How stunning is the forest shot! Amazing mate...!!!!

The shadow though might be a bit harsh given the diffuse light through SO much moisture!
