Attached are 3 images of an old medieval church previously uploaded to the Thea render site.
The church , buildings and the cross were downloaded from 3d warehouse, the church called "Siebenbürgische Gemeinde" by MedievalEurope and the cross "CELTIC CROSS 1 "by davie.

The landscape is a simple sandbox terrain populated with grass using the Thea instance brush

Brilliant. One of the most life like images I've seen. Is there a view with the church in focus?

Here's a low level across the grass with more focus on the church.

Wonderful images. Realistic, but the last in the first series begins to tell a story too!

Beautiful renders, David. Makes me want to try Thea now.

How did you do the grass if you don't mind my asking? Thanks.

The grass is a simple grass model "painted" using the instancing brush in Thea,I use it all the time for vegetation.
Attached are 3 NPR images of varying moods, this time the grass was done in photoshop.

A very strong evening lit version with the sun just peaking over the edge of the foreground building.

Heres one more NPR of a very still summers evening with a stone bridge.
I also removed the buildings surrounding the church to try and simplify the composition.
