Attached is a DC Handrail component. I needed a hand rail source, and decide to kill two birds with this leaning project, make a hand rail DC component and learn something about DC construction.

      Features:

      1. Handrail height can be set from 30" to 48"
      2. Length set or use scaling handles
      3. Railing members sizable from 1" to 3" by drop down list
      4. Mid rail vertical distance set within limits, 50% to 75% of total handrail height
      5. Bottom rail vertical distance set with limits, 10% to 40% of total handrail height
      6. Kick guard, set height off bottom, total height. Can be set to be a solid panel between bottom and mid railing
      7. The maximum distance between center posts can be set
      8. Bottom horizontal railing, kick guard and last post in section can be hidden

Note: Added sq. tubing handrail. Still practicing.

Note: Updated both files, now have color selection.

          Thanks Mike

I have given up on Ruby, so to assist in my construction modeling, I have turned to DC's. Hope to make more progress than I had with Ruby. Working of a grating DC.

              Thanks

Note: I updated each file. Now has color selection. Also, note that I made mistake on the math for the sq. tubing for the lengths of the middle and bottom railing railing. Still practicing.

Now that's what I'm talking about. Good job Ken!!! Any chance of some metal stairs? πŸ˜„ One of these days I'm gonna try to learn DC's. I like to draw Process Plants and Drilling Rigs and they have a bunch of handrails and stairs.

Edit: I see you are already working on a grating DC. Thanks
