Any smokers here? Wanna quit?
-
Everything Oli said is true Rich, I'm a believer, I love vaping, way better than smoking, very easy to quit if you vape. I am on 24mg nicotine and because I bought a top end rig I can set it to the exact smoking sensation I need and it gives me an even better smoking sensation that actual smoking. If only I tried this sooner. I will never smoke tobacco products again, in fact I had a great time smashing ashtrays last night.

what's vaping?
can someone explain this thing?
looks like a bong
Do you remember a few weeks back I told u about that amazing E Cig I used to quit smoking? This is what I was trying to tell you about.
Basically, instead of smoking we use these devices. You only absorb nicotine from the vapour produced. No tar, no carbon monoxide, no carcinogenic toxins. The vapour is a harmless vehicle to transport nicotine only.
You add your own flavoured E-Liquids into the device which contain nicotine. When heated up, the liquid immediately vaporises. IT DOES NOT BURN. The vapour looks and feels like smoke, but is harmless.
You get the hit in your throat, big nicotine hit and awesome plumes of vapour. The vapour doesn't linger, it dissipates into the air. No need to open a window. You can slowly reduce your nicotine strength in the E liquid, I started on 24mg and now on 12 or 18mg.
Note these are not like the plastic cigarette-looking devices, which are worthless as others have said. They work on same principle but the vaping experience is soooo much closer to smoking with the new generation, in fact it's better. Proper niccy rush in the morning!
I have recommended these to 5 family/friends and they have all quit, even my mother who has smoked for 25 years. It's not even hard to quit, I won't lie! I never thought about "quitting" I just vaped once and was immediately sold!
A taxi driver tried my E-Cig and instantly demanded I took him to the shop on the way home! Free taxi ride and another quitter, we both just vaped casually all the way home
Best of all Rich, its dirt cheap compared to smoking.
Β£5-Β£10 a week now instead of Β£56. ($7-$15 a week now instead of $85)

Is it really the same though?
I love the pull of a fag. Is it a throat cutter?
Do you have to smoke the whole thing once its filled or can you pick it up and down when needed?
Mike had one of those or something similar and I found it a right pain for my throat.

Yesterday at the Vape store I met many folk, they were very busy and it was during working hours on a Wednesday. My wife was surprised at how many women vaped so she spoke with a few and most of them were not smokers but vaped zero nicotine flavors in order to lose weight, apparently this is a thing here in the states, I met a few old geezers and one was telling me how it helps with his Alzheimer's and another was telling me about a friend that vapes to control his mild Tourette's. Most however were just like me that wanted to quit the "stinkies" or as they call it "analogues". Everyone there had a date that they shared with a smile, they day the started vaping aka the day the quit smoking, mine is 3rd April 2013
I did get a big technical looking thing, more like a light saber than a cigarette but there are less conspicuous ones available that will feel more like a fag, I like gadgets so I got something to geek out with, might as well make this habit a fun one.
I seriously recommend you to give it a chance, I promise the day you try is the last day you smoke, I have tried those silly e-cigs and they did not work, in fact they give vaping a bad name and should not even be considered in the same category.

Not a throat killer, you choose the strength you want, I like smooth through the day and a bigger kick for morning.
I can set my voltages to get a true pull like a real cig with the exact throat feel as a camel light and same or more "smoke", in fact I blow better rings now.
You can put down and use as needed, it only activates when you use it so you can keep the liquid in as long as needed. not like a fag that just burns away as mine did all the time.

I probably would have got one of them, gadget freak, chain smoker, nearly 40 years of smoking etc..... but Feb last year I just stopped.
Still have a very stale half pack of Malboro Lights, lighter and ashtray within reach.Good on you, box! that's quite an effort!!! And to you olishea, I'll back you to quit, mate. I don't smoke, never have [actually I tell a lie, mum tells me she caught me rolling my own in the hay shed of all places when I was 8...] and never will and I see family members struggling with quitting. I'm sure its a hard road but one worth travelling.
Keep kickin it.

I quit 3 days ago, I'm on the ego-T e-cig, and it really works great for me, it satisfies all my need, nicotine, the taste, and that cut feeling down my throat, I highly recommend it and in the past 3 days not once ave I taught to myself that this may not work, it's will power too, you got to keep reminding yourself " I can, I will, I must"

It's not the same. It's better. Doesn't burn your throat at all, quite the opposite. A lower strength E liquid gives less hit on the throat, so you can "customise" your experience that way too. Definitely doesn't burn though, tastes great!
Thanks utiler, try recommending these to family members if they have difficulty quitting. No excuse to smoke any more.
iichiversii, remember this image below if you get stressed. I think your device is same as mine, does it have the clear tank? and well done!

for more that a decade I was a serious smoker and each time that I was going to quit it , next month I was back and deeper! several ways , like phaseout quit.... no one worked
eachtime I was sad, or happy, a good weather or a bad happening, was a good mood asking me to smoke again
even I was trying one , before the breakfast, and then starting the day.... believe me , it brings the "first time" enjoy hahahah, so it was really hard to quit.
finally I "verry seriously" ( I insist on " verrrry seriously) decided to quit, and it worked... at the beginning , my days was going calm and gray....I was searching "something missing"... but after 2 weeks almost everything was ok, and now it is near to tree years ... -
great to hear all of you guys give it a go and succeeding... anything for better health and longevity with family.

This is my baby, not exactly the same but it has all the features yours has, not once have I even craved a real cig in the past 4 days.Rich it's idea, I used to smoke silk cut too and I the past few days iv become used to this, just so you know there is a shop is Ennis that sells these and the refills are β¬5 cheaper than in limerick, if you need the stores name PM me and ill let you know, I highly recommend this, and to be honest I didn't even plan to quit, seen a guy at work using 1, asked him about it, had a drag of it and decided to get 1 that same evening, being on it since
-
well done majid, I bet you feel much better now!
iichieversii: Yeah looks same, you have a different atomiser piece though.
Does your mouthpiece draw back nicely?
Because I tried one similar to that and it didn't pull back as tight as the clear tank with normal round mouthpiece. Maybe it's different but try the other one too in case you prefer it.

Good heavens, what has the world come to? Grown men sucking on Dummies, or should that be Dummies sucking on Dummies? I'm 69 years of age and up 'til May last year I was a heavey smoker from the tender age of 12. All it took for me to knock off was an acute stroke and a heart attack, both within one short hour. I now chew gum and wear a patch when I remember to put it on. The price of tobacco in NZ is so high it would be cheaper to smoke waccy baccy, and a site more enjoyable too. $60.00 for a 50g pack of tobacco is a bit steep, I think. It's nice to see all those excise taxes I paid went towards the excellent Hospital treatment I received
-
Yeah I find it works great, at first I wasn't getting it but there is a technic to it, ya just ave to play around with it a little really, I wouldn't trade it for a real cig now, I'm very happy with it, 4th day on it and still going strong

Unfortunately I can not wait for an acute stroke or heart attack to quit smoking. So for now I'll be a dummy and suck my dummy. Never been able to quit for more than a couple of days so this is massive for me!
I don't understand nicotine chewing gum.
If I had an addiction to chewing gum, would they recommend smoking to cure the habit? The two are unrelated IMO. I know patches/gum release nicotine but 93% of people who use them return to smoking within 6 months. So who is the dummy?

Sucking on a cigarette better than on a dummy (pacifier)? I'll take the dummy and avoid your fate mate.

Hey Oli...guess what......I'm on board too!I just got mine couple of hours ago.
I'm happy, my wife's happy...my 2.5 years old kid is not, because he want to play with it.
I think I need to say thank you man. Can't wait the next morning coffee.
I'll get back with more details, but not now. Now I'm happy. Is that normal, or I'm just dizzy?
Cheers,
Stefan

Maybe I was the dummie for starting smoking in the first place, strokes and heart attacks are not pretty things to have or observe, stay alive I'm petty sure it's more fun. Now where did I put the Viagra
