Any smokers here? Wanna quit?

Let us know how you get on with the RSST Chris. I almost bought one a while back but was put off by the stainless steel mesh wick.
At the moment I'm switching between Cinnamon Redhots in my EVOD, Juicy Fruit in my Kayfun and Silky tobacco flavour in my iClear30. Loving it!

Hi Oli ,
Those flavours sound good. Cinnamon in general goes well for me too.
I am kind of a 'dessert flavour' vapor myself: something with banana, cookie , cinnamon, milkshake clicks my button .About the RSST, I just got it in two days ago.
Built a stainless steel mesh with 3 wraps of 28 gauge Kanthal, a 0.7 ohm coil so only to go on a mechanical mod.
My first impression: MehThe ss mesh doesn't seem to wick enough.
Lot's of vapor at the first hits and then it dry burns easily.
I think the mesh can't keep up with wicking the juice.I'll try a built with a microcoil and cotton (so called autodripping mode) and see where that brings me.
A genesis atomiser needs to be upright at all times so that is a bit of a minus to take it out of the house.I ordered a kayfun style but that will still take a month to get here.
Here's a photo of the ss mesh coil:

Well, I prefer Jean Luc Picard over Captain Janeway, so that should tell you something

Shame about the RSST, chris. I nearly bought one before the good folks at Cloud9Vaping persuaded me to try the Kayfun. Apparently the AC9 and RSST are a complete ball ache to work properly plus there is the leaking issue. Also, stainless steel mesh is known to give headaches to certain individuals. I am quite prone to headaches so I figured it was best to avoid this particular wick. I have absolutely no issues using ekowool.
Just get a kayfun chris! Your hunt for perfection will be over!

I am interested to know what the difference (in vaping experience) is between the Vivi Nova and the Kayfun.
-
It's a more customisable experience, Gareth. You can change your own coils to achieve whatever effect you want; instant and punchy or slower and smooth. The amount of coils and gauge of wire determines this. The air flow can also be adjusted to suit your vaping style.
I've tried loads of vivi nova style atties now, including the iClear30 and while they do the job, the flavour doesn't come anywhere close to that of the kayfun. I'm not an ambassador for Svoemesto, but they have done a mighty fine job with the Kayfun 3.1.
If you do consider getting one in the future, don't forget the Provari extension ring which makes everything look nice and smooth.
[edit]: If anyone is looking to get a Kayfun Lite, there is a new version coming out with adjustable airflow. Saying that though, you may as well get the 3.1 as it's pretty much the same thing now! The 3.1 has the fill valve on the side whereas the Lite needs to be unscrewed at the bottom with a screwdriver.

Wow, that Kayfun looks sweet on that Provari.

Hey Chris, look what I got!!
Reverse treading locking ring, silver plated contacts, isolator at the bottom switch.
But I don't have any battery or charger. I'll buy some this weekend, and a drip aty.
Happy vaping guys!

Lungs of a smoker and a nonsmoker

Thanks for the inspiration to stay smoke-free! What a huge difference! The first thing I noticed about quitting was a bigger lung capacity.
I remember dissecting a pig's lungs at school, the teacher said, "Do NOT blow into the lungs."
So what did I do? I blew into the lungs and received a blow-back of pig mucus all over my face! Lesson learnt.
Stefan: What is that?

Hello Oli, it's the Chi-You clone.

How's everyone going?
I forgot to order new DIY mixing E-Liquid and had to buy some liquid from a local shop. I tell you what, I have no idea how I ever used to vape this stuff it's absolutely terrible! Very sickly and the liquid goes brown after a couple hours of use whereas my home-made liquid never discolour or go sickly. Can't wait for my vape mail delivery tomorrow!
Still on Juicy Fruit flavour and Cinnamon Redhots. Yummy!

I also like those flavors, I recently frequented our new store (1 mile away http://www.artisanvaporcompany.com/) that has those and a flavor that is so awesome called 'American pipe tobacco', I swear if any regular cigarette smoker just tried it they'd quit smoking on the spot and vape.
Still vaping, 7 plus months smoke free, so happy I bought my Provari, that thing is awesome, strong and faultless, never had a moment's issue.

I'm not trying to quit... but a local store owner gave me a EGO-C4E and I've been using it for a few days and already I'm down about half on my smoking. It's not bad... using the MB flavored juice which is just standard tobacco flavored. seems like the juice stretches a long way. kinda surprised at the vapor, it actually feels like a cigarette. will see how it goes.

Great work Kris! Many people quit without even realizing it. When/if you get a better vape setup the need to smoke just completely disappears. You are doing it the best way; if you get in the mindset of "quitting" it can make your brain want to do the opposite. Just enjoy your vape and see how it goes.
I still use my Provari when out and about because the MVP is massive, it looks like a detonator or walkie-talkie!
I can't fault the Provari either, I'm clumsy as hell with it but it never fails.Stefan the xtar is well priced and reliable, you can insert the magnet thingys for other batteries too. That's the charger I use for my Provari and it's still working fine.
For DIY mixing you only need PG, VG, nicotine, de-ionised water and flavourings. You can get the water from an automotive shop and it costs pennies, it's the same stuff you use to top-up batteries/coolant etc. It doesn't leave any residue in your device. You will find bigger vapes use more liquid so DIY is a must, unless you can get dirt-cheap premixed which is near impossible here in the UK.
If you need any vape recipes let me know. It's soooo easy after your first go. Very simple to increase and decrease vapour production versus throat hit. I will give you the exact amount you need for a 50/50 PG/VG mix or 60/40 PG/VG, whatever you like.
PG based nicotine is better because you can syringe it up easier. Most flavourings are PG based too because it takes on flavour better.
The de-ionised water is used to thin down the VG because it's very very thick. I make a mixture of 85% VG to 15% water.
So basically...
PG based nicotine (I use NEAT 54 brand, almost tasteless and 54mg nicotine)
PG
VG
De-ionised water
Flavourings (make sure they do not contain diacetyl)
5ml syringes
1ml syringes
50ml or 30ml mixing bottles
You can also get 100ml travel bottles for your VG/water mixture which is referred to as AG (aqueous glycerol) -
Hello everyone, I'm waiting to get my stuff I ordered, some 18650 AW IMR batteries, a decent xtar charger, some plastic boxes for batteries storage (get some Oli), some magnets, a couple of drip tips, a dripping atomizer (Igo-L). I can't find Noalox for threads protection, so I'll need to find something similar. I'm pretty excited, buying a mechanical mod, will open new frontiers for me. I'm about to plunge into mixing my own liquid myself, but the variety of bases and flavours is overwhelming.
Kris, the best thing in your case is that, there is no pressure. It's not only the nicotine, but the variety of flavours you can taste. The best part for me, was the possibility to vape in bed for example, or while I'm around my kid. Good stuff!
Regards,

Hello vapers!
I'm using this set-up for the last two days, and I'm happy as a clam! Dripping is awesome!
If only was more "portable".
Happy vaping! -
Awesome Stefan, it looks the mutt's nuts! (good lol)
I never got into dripping because I'm always out and about but from what I hear it's a great experience.
Gonna rebuild my Kayfun coil, had this one in over a month which is a record for me. Unfortunately vapour production must be half the normal amount so it's time to get out the wire and wick! I'm still on the original wire and wick I bought months ago; rebuilding is sooooo much cheaper than buying pre-made coils.
Which wire and wick are you using for that setup mate?
Keep on vaping!
