      Hi Guys,

I watched a TV program this evening on sport training and was surprised to see the level of technology involved these days. GPS was even used to see which rugby players were covering the most ground during a match!

I then started thinking about my days in primary school (elementary) 6 - 13 years. During these years I was quite a good sprinter, 100yds ...... there I go, pre metric. That tells you how long ago it was ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

I won a number of school sprint medals and even some county medals. Then I stopped growing! My genes kicked in! I more or less gave up sprinting in secondary school as my competitors had much longer legs! They were also heavier with more muscle mass.

I am now just thinking that athletics should be height or weight based, like boxing in a way! There are some 17 class weights in boxing! I wouldn't see as many as that needed, maybe 3 or 4. It would broaden the sport and keep kids involved for longer. When kids are involved in sport they tend ONT to get involved in drugs etc.

Any thoughts before I write to Count Jacques Rogge the International Olympic Committee Boss ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Mike
