Looks great, Carloh. in the first image, you might want to shift it slightly, so the tree trunk isn't hidden by the post, and it doesn't look like the top of the tree is growing out of that post.
Can you define colony?

Thank you Daniel! i agree that the post blocks the view of the trunk, i will change the perspective there.
I don't know if colony is the correct term in english for this kind of urban concept. their intention was to give cheap living space for the workers class, as the industry was booming and there wasn't enough space in this time.here is a german wikipedia article about this neighborhood with some pictures http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacobsenviertel . it's in Erfurt, germany.

That's what I thought. In America, that would be called a housing development, or just "housing" for short. In English, a colony refers to an area (such as a city or nation) that is ruled by another country (for example, before gaining independence, India was a British colony).
Looks like a nice project. The shrubs look great; where did you get them, or did you create 'em?

It is indeed a nice project. The problem is that there were made changes to the original structure like adding balconies to the the buildings which are very expensive to bring back to it's origin condition. Also i guess the residents won't tollerate the demolition of there balconies just to bring the whole structure to the origin condition. It's more like a fictional project and won't be completed in reality, but that's working in the university
The shrubs are from the X-Frog library 'Landscaping' and indeed really nice to work with when you use Maxwell render with instances!

I would argue in a historic preservation project, if the building is to continue to be occupied and used, and not just a museum, then sometimes changes have to be made to make it useable. I've restored three historic theatres from the '20s, and each of them had to have their lobbies and toilet rooms expanded to meet modern-day requirements. Unless the balconies are completely hideous and incompatable, leave them.

Looks great. The "landscape" design also fits very well with the entire ensemble/ building complex. Grass is nice. The last image it's almost real xD
