This cassette i found on the warehouse, i polished the geometry added the screws & textures. Sketchup & Maxwell with HDRI lighting. C&C welcome.

Nice! You can add some scratches on the plastic to increase the realism even more...

Very nice, I agree the plastic looks too clear, almost like glass, scratches or maybe even less transparency will help a lot. I did one a couple years ago : http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=39342&hilit=cassette

Chedda it is looking really nice, I agree the plastic needs some scratches and add a Bic ballpoint pen to the image

Thanks for the comments guys. I was thinking of a fingerprint somewhere for that extra edge. Solo i remember your cassette it looks good ! The bic pen i assume is to fast forward and rewind to save the batteries in the walkman ?

You had to roll up the slack sometimes.

Ahh yes that's right until it gave a little squeak not too tight ! It's strange how we become intimate with everyday tactile objects. Especially a cassette tape which often invokes memories of times, places & music.
