BioLite Camp Stove

This thing is pretty cool. Charge your cell phone and cook a small meal at the same time.

I am getting ready to hike the AT next March. And this looked interesting, however the 2-lbs is a little heavy for a stove and a bit large. I am trying to keep my pack weight below 15-lbs without food.
However, if they get rid of some weight, this would be a winner. No fuel to carry, charging your phone or tablet, would be nice.
And, it may be I will decide throw something out to make room.
Thanks for the web site.

I had a little twig burner stove YEARS ago. It was not as high tech, but worked pretty well--if you have something to burn. It needed a little battery to run a fan.
This is similar to the pot someone is working on that with any applied heat gives a charge on the side. It is one of those crossover technologies that might be helpful in developing countries as well.

Anyone else up for the challenge ?
