Wood Chest

I can't chose blue or white!

Nice. How did you create that rendering that looks a little like a SU shot in a rendered studio? I'd say blue, but if the white were a different version of white...
-
Very nice. I would go for the blue one.

Kurt, that's very nice. As to the color, I think it depends on where it is going. Who will be using it? The blue seems more like a color for a toy box, to me.
Peter, I'm going to take a stab and say that Kurt used a technique I like to use. I export a hidden line image from SU with the same camera position as I use for the rendered version. Then it's a simple matter of overlaying the line work on the render image in an image editor. I will often export the lines at a larger size and resize the image to get thinner lines.
I like this look because it gives some delineation to the joint between parts that would otherwise appear to be one. The ends of the vertical divider on the front of the chest and the bottom rail on the end of the chest would look like they are just carved out of the mating pieces without the lines.

Peter, Dave is right just a rendered image and a hidden line image overlaid in Photoshop. Dave I'm thinking blue also because its going to be a toy box for my 3 1/2 month old son. Thanks for the kind words all!
