MUVIZU
-
Hi Guys,
While reviewing my SketchUp alerts over the weekend I noticed a reference to a SketchUp export plug-in for Movizu (pronounced Moo Vee Zoo) which creates ASE files that can be used in http://www.muvizu.com/
I followed the link to Muvizu and nosed around the site. It was not a waste of time! I was highly impressed with the standard of tutorials and the overall look of the site and forums.
To get an idea of how SketchUp ties in with Muvizu check out this short tutorial video, http://www.muvizu.com/Video/21578/Sketchup-collision-made-easy-in-Muvizu-3D-ani
The blurb on the site says,
Muvizu is free 3D animation software
It’s easy to use but sophisticated and powerful
Make 3D animated movies in hours, not months
It’s free for non-commercial and educational use
Muvizu means animation is for everyoneI think this could well be the case!
The Tutorial 02: Muvizu in a nutshell http://www.muvizu.com/Video/17213/Tutorial-02-Muvizu-in-a-nutshell give a quick overview of what can be achieved in a short period.
@Eric and @Pete! I think you guys should have a look and see what could be done with your great SU characters!

Have you checked Pete's YouTube channel - I think he might be using it already!?

Great find, Hieru,I used iClone, this is very cool. I'd like to use all my SU created characters some day in an animation, too bad there is no money in this as I'd love to make a living creating characters.

I looked into thus a few months ago, as far as I remember the characters are built into there animation software and it was impossible to import your own, it was mainly building and props for import, only static models, but ill look again to see what changes there are.

Where there is a will there is always a way!
