      Hi Guys

I posted these two images (on the woodworking page) of a model jpeg and the finished article - then realised a week later that I should have posted here too! Sorry, My bad.

That kitchen's bigger than my house!!
Nice Island - they're so useful (if you've got the room)

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark allies, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

          Hi Paul

Yes it is huge - island is 3m x 1.4m - the solid surface for the top was over a tonne in weight - great fun fitting that!!! The house in Draperstown - the garage was converted into a kitchen and the whole house is open plan. I loved doing it as I had a completely free reign on the design and just gave them everything I would like in a kitchen. Hope to sell a few more off the back of this one!

WOW, what a beauty! I really like that you used clean lines. It's massive, but easy on the eye. No handles, neutral colors...are you sure you're not Italian? 😄
What about the heavy surface, it's made of concrete?
            Congrats,
            Stefan

Thanks guys - Stefanq - pure 100% Irish - no italian in me at all!!
The island top is solid surfacing ( Wilsonart - SSV and Gibraltar mix) - it weighed a tonne. My back is still recovering from moving it. It turned out well.
Thanks Jo-ke. If I get another one like this before October I might be able to afford the trip to Boulder!!!
