THEA Renders

And one more wider view
-
And one more: Oh. My! Heck!
Yes you are.
-
Wow - except that I saw them here, I would have easily mistaken those for photographs; the 'tile' pavement and the many sky reflections are particularly impressive - a completely cohesive scene.
Maybe add some graffiti, and some 'urban tumbleweed' (i.e. litter) - that is really the only immediately obvious difference from reality! -
Hey. . .I warned ya. . .since his work is so awesome . .. and he and I are using the almost same user name. . .Im gonna hijack as much as I can.

A few more from differnt projects

very very good! i would like to know how you achieved this nice looking vegetation? where did you find theses trees?
-
Great!
-
Looking good !
-
Well done! They do indeed look like photos.
-
Wow! These renders are very impressive. How long were the render times? You have just sealed my decision to buy Thea as my upgrade from Kerkythea. But I would say it seems you have skills no matter what render program you may use. Great job.
-
Most of the renders were done using the interactive rendering and took about 2 hours each. The trees are Xfrog trees and the ivy is from the free ivy generator software.
-
nice work
-
about the xfrog trees: you buy them as .obj format and load them in sketchup? or how do you work with them?
-
never mind. i just found out that i can download in .3ds and put them directly into lumion

What is wrong with the trees that Lumion provide? IMO using Xfrog will slow Lumion down considerably, remember it's all GPU based and regardless of what card you have Xfrog will strain it.
-
at the moment i'm just using the free version of lumion where i only have 3 tree models. the 130 xfrog free models now give me the opportunity to extend my usage of the free version before i buy lumion in late 2012.
and i haven't noticed any slowdown by the xfrog trees yet (i have a geforce gtx 670)
