Looks absolutely great.

Wow.

Thanks Peter, Tom, and Bryan.

Outstanding work! Look forward to se more

Thanks Sergio. I'm almost through with the front elevation, but I've put it on hold temporarily while I work on something a tad bit easier; the IP has been frustrating to model at times.

Excellent work Daniel...love the details!
Thanks for the heads up about the HABS drawings.Robert

Wow! Daniel these are incredible. Yes, it has been years since I have touched HABS drawings and the biggest thing to remember about them is that most of these were completed long before CAD and so when you model them three dimensionally you find that, back then, sometimes if a dimension was modified the draftsman would not actually change the object or follow that change throuhevery section and elevation or only change the number of the dimension. This is why SketchUp, Revit and ArchiCAD are so popular now. these programs force you to work in 3 dimensions. What you have completed here is not only really nice modeling but your first two images you show here are as beautiful as some of the "framed" HABS drawings I have seen when I worked for the government years ago! Bravo!

Thank you, Robert and Elibjr. Life (and an old computer) has interrupted this project, but hopefully soon I will be able to finish it. Elibjr, my ultimate goal is to have a rendered 2D elevation framed (I'm a fan of rendered elevations, from my pre-computer days in architecture school).

Daniel,
That will be great to see. Palm trees and all. Is there renderer you would use for true orthographic projection?
Peter

Peter, probably VUE, if I render it at all, but I'll worry about getting the model done first.
-
Was put on the back burner for a while, but recently was able to dust it off and work on it. Much thanks to Tadema for behind the scenes encouragement.
-
Excellent.
-
Thanks, Tom.

Superb!

Cool!
Someones has made Versailles with Sketchup!
Yes, I've seen that and more at http://www.versailles3d.com
I think it was actually posted on the Forum by the modelers after they completed it.
It must be nice to have a whole crew and funds to scan the entire building. -
I love how this is progressing Daniel. Fine work.
-
Thanks
-
Great job! I can't wait to see it rendered!
