Some significant progress with the model and hope to finish tomorrow.

Need to finish window detail and add a bump map to the brick.

Frenchy, the building was built without an elevator. The box that looks like a conex container sitting on the roof houses the elevator workings that were put in as a retrofit. That is my guess, however it could be a private penthouse suite.

The model, the director of community redevelopment, or my illustrative concept. Or all three?

Civic improvement from what was to what could be.
My first post was just a test to see the potential for mixing a rendered model with photography. In this post I have rotated the building for more dimensionality, and used a mix of recently found historic detail and new architectural elements to show what could be done with the building. My photography client was the Alumni magazine of a major university showing the achievements of their graduates. In this case the alumna is the executive director of a non-profit community development corporation. The crown jewel for me is getting the thumb from the photo to wrap around the corner of the virtual building model.

The model! I would not impose upon the director. 😳

Oh, I didn't realize it was composited that way. Nice job!

A thumbs up from Pete is impressive. Its enough for me to give myself a day off. And I would if I were not getting my house ready for sale. Anyone moving to Phoenix, Arizona?
