The work of Russian photographer Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii. Not colourised, but original colour...he took 3 separate plates, filtered for RGB. A remarkable achievement and a great insight into a vanished world. The Library of Congress has many more, but these are some of the best in a simple slide show.
