Google Earth default shadows
-
Hello
I have question. SketchUp model always obtain default brighter walls (sunny) and darker (overshadowed) in Google Earth.Models made in Building Maker havent this effect. If I put sunny and shadowed textures into my model, Google Earth default effect is only disturbing for me. There is any option or trick to switch it off?

When you are done with a BM model, you can select to edit it in SketchUp if you made it inside SketchUp (or at least download it from the Warehouse if you made it on the web interface). Then if you upload from SketchUp again, do the faces have the "normal" looking shading?
(Sorry, I last used MB some year and a half ago when we were still testing this function inside SU - we do not have the imagery around here and I think that single example I made in Atlanta, GA was enough to populate the US)

I mean make classic model 100% in SketchUp, not in BM
BM is just exapmple, where all sites of model have the same bright, model made only in sketchup always have shadows effect, which i want to delete, like on my screenshot ^^ -
Ok, I see. It's probably possible by editing the kml or rather the exported dae file. When you export to kmz, it is actually a zip file with a different name. you can rename it and see what's "inside".
But do not ask me what to edit there. It's a long text file and there are different values added to shaders and such.
