Well, it was just two days before in Vienna itself. But indeed, in Hungary it lasted till August the following year. And the Habsburg dynasty could not even suppress it but the emperor had to kiss the arse of the Russian Tsar and some 300,000 Russian soldiers invaded Hungary in 1949. (But at least we had a rehearsal for another invasion in 1956 )
