Simplified Excel report for pricing

Hi there,
I'm sketchup admin for a small department doing retail & exhibition design. Right now we are looking into automating price calculations instead of counting components manually and filling in excel sheets.
I briefly tested the generate report function after adding material numbers and price to dynamic components. The raw excel table contains all the info needed but also too much other info. An excel wizard could probably filter the info and link to other excel lists- which I am not.
I would guess I'm not the first one looking into that problem and was wondering if anyone has experience with this type of thing. Maybe there are already simplified plugins out there?
