A soft rebranding for a concrete company looking to get away from small domestic work to larger commercial and multi unit residential developments.

The client wanted the "HM" of HM GRAF to be subtle if not unrecognisable.

The logo was designed and completed with Layout and an eps version (CYMK) conversion by saving out the Layout PDF from Acrobat.

The "GRAF" type is custom made in Layout.

The left logo is for use on Vehicle Livery, Web page, Letterheads and Cards bleeding to the top edge and the right version for any other anticipated use.

That's really clean. I have been experimenting with marketing and branding with sketchup for awhile now, as well. The possibilities are endless.

This was an example of a Shoe display for DC Shoes I helped design for DC Europe Retailers.
Branding has been HUGE in my line of work.

I am glad to see others taking advantage of the creative marketing this software supports.

          Cheers!

That's nice mate! Yeah Layout has some great features but mostly that of simplicity to adapt to this task.

              Richard,

Thanks for your various graphic notes on LO. I made my first brochure on LO and it's great to work with-- a totally non-SketchUp use. I have various graphic programs and my CAD is bit like Illustrator, so I often used it. But LO worked fine, maybe better, for importing pdfs and making a brochure. I exported a "fine" quality pdf and got it to the printers. Couldn't be better. So I think I got the idea from you.

I noticed something. Copying and manipulating the pdfs inside LO they sometimes went jagged. By just trial I found "update reference" fixed them.

Another trick is I just "dumped" a bunch of images into LO with one open command and then sorted them out like on a desktop. I expected a crash, but it was smooth.

Well done Peter - would love to see the results.

One has to be a little cautious if the print is to by via offset! PDF's from LO are RGB and offset uses CYMK (digital printing is ok)! Conversion from RGB > CYMK can be done post pro with Acrobat Pro!

                Can we see your creation?

Well, it's just a flyer to get some business generated with contractors. Here is one part. I was just thought it was pretty easy in LO. Yes I printed in digital at the Office Depot 😄 and it was fine. OK so I owe a picture.Contractor Flyer second page

I'm not sure how the pdf will look unless one DL's and views at the full size.
