I'm trying to make a backdrop of an existing city(Jakarta). When I download geo located models from the warehouse they aren't going to their correct location. they just load like any other imported model.
Ive checked the use geo location in the entity info.
Before I have tried to do this with another city(Sydney) and on loading, a dialogue asked if I wanted to preserve the location. Now there is no dialogue.
      Any ideas whats going wrong.
      Thanks in advance.

Do you have your main model (into which you are importing these) geolocated?

          Hi Gaieus,
I just started with downloading one model, selected load into sketchup, checked that it was still geo located, then downloaded a few more, selected no for load into sketchup and saved.
Later when I tried to import them into the first model they diddnt have their location, they just imported like a normal component.
But if I make a model of a large building and divided it up into separate files, then merge them into 1 again, they know where to go, ie - ground, level 1, 2 ...

Try to import them straight from the Warehouse allowing to be put into your model. But AFAIK it needs to have some geolocation to start with (to tell the truth, I have never used this feature just tested it when it was new but that's several versions of SU ago...)

              Hi Gai,
I've tried again with models of Sydney and most are still loading in their correct location.
However some, although already geo located with terrain, are not.
Not sure why this is. Could it have something to do with which version of sketchup was used to make them.

I don't think so. Geolocation is geolocation. I have no idea why this should not work...
