Rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

perhaps you were following the various Bible discussions that prompted that thought?No I was watching a broomstick wielding brawl in the church of the Holy Sepulchure in Jerusalem where monks of various Christian sects were busy beating the crap out of each other while in a nearby part of the Mideast Moslems if different flavors where wacking each other with car bombs. Remember the Monty Python movie "Life of Brian" where the prophet Brian lost a sandal and a drinking gourd and there is a schism among his followers, some worshiping the sandal they found and the others the gourd they found?
Those two things make me a bit wary of most religions. The version of Buddhism where all have some of the Buddha spirit and we all share a oneness with the universe appeals the most.
As to deck chairs and the titanic, it was just the wonderful chance juxtaposition of the two posts. Because the post change position according to responses, I could have been the only one to see it.

- Do you know why the Titanic sank at its first race (including deck chairs...)?!
- Because before he left, builders and owners have publicly stated that this ship even God can not sink it ...

It would appear that our friend Cornel worships a gangsta...one who gets homicidal if he's not accorded the 'rispeck' he thinks he's entitled to.
@Roger
Yes, I noticed that too. It makes you wonder what other juxtapositions might occur in the Gallery. I tried to think of some but my brain hasn't woken up yet. The people under the stairs, maybe? -

No, ‘Solo’, my God is not “easily offended”:
“The LORD is gracious and merciful;
Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.” (Psalm 145:8)BUT,
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)

Then why did you say that?
So is he vengeful or not?
Even you cannot keep up with your own drivel.
What about John Lennon? did he also die because he said he was more famous than Jesus? or something like that.
Is this another example of your vengeful insecure god?

I am designing a box to contain Solo and Cornel in close confinement so they can learn to coexist peacefully.

No need for a box, just a muzzle and a room without a bible will work.

Make it out of perspex. Then you could sell tickets.

Sometimes God reacts immediately, especially when He is mocked in public...!
'Solo', I remind you an eloquent fact that I'm sure you know about (see Acts 12:21-23):“[On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people. They shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.]”

Yikes, what kinda god is this that needs attention or else?
Are you sure he was eaten by worms then died or was it he died and then was eaten by worms?
Crazy stuff, can't wait for the movie, James Earl Jones or Sean Connery should play God.

Yes, 'Solo'.
Such situations have happened nowadays ... -
Another eloquent example is that of the Romanian dictators Ceausescu [Nicolae + Elena (his wife)], who asked to be praised by all, to be cheered on all levels ...
They ended up being shot like animals, on Christmas Day, 1989.
(‘Marian’ can expose what happened to them...)In Psalm 10 is written:
"The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor;
Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.
For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire;
He blesses the greedy and renounces the LORD.
The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God;
God is in none of his thoughts"... -

And how many Christmases did God pass up, letting them persecute the innocent?
I hope we all respect religious views of others, and I worry that people will get hurt or confused by these discussions, especially humble people. But Cornel, for your own sake, please reconsider this particular line of reasoning, if you can call it that.
Stick with "Who knows the mind of God?" Perhaps.
In all due respect, Peter

Basically, God shows us how He works / acts, and, If we look closely to the facts of the Bible, before making a decision, He warns people at least twice about it ...!

That is actuality! Costa cruise ship !

Looks like there was some criminal negligence.

Cornel,
I've tried to do a search about you and got a few results but of course I cannot be sure they are actually you.
Most of the guys that debate with you here are pretty open about how they are, where they come from and what they do. Its called being friendlyHow about you give us an idea about who the mystery man 'Cornel' is and what makes him tick. I am genuinely curious.
Mike
