The Commodore 64 is 30!
-
Wow, where does the time go? It hardly seems 30 years since the C64 hit the market in January of 1982. I still have mine, wrapped up somewhere in storage. I just couldn't part with it when I bought my first 286-based PC. I even owned a "suitcase" version, the SX64 for awhile.
Here's a link for those who may suffer a sudden pang of C64 nostalgia: http://www.reghardware.com/2012/01/02/commodore_64_30_birthday/
Cheers

I got mine collecting dust in the attic. But I wish I was 30

I was too poor to afford a 64; I could only afford a 32.
Still good fun though...and I did manage to peek and poke my way to programming a 3D wireframe display of a street perspective. Who was to know where that would lead? -
Hey "I adore my 64". But alas she be gone.

Thirty years passed.
And still, under excel virtual Basic language, for having some decent random results, the command is 'randomize timer' or similar.
And still, this will mess the clock of your computer if it's gonna be a loop or something.
Not much changed during these 30 years. Speed only.
cheers. Long live commodore. Long live amstrad. Long live z80 or 8086 CPU. -
I got one of these in 1983.
ZX Spectrum.

Hi folks.
I bought one of those in 1978.
It was one of the first made since one PROM chip inside was in white plastic with a serial number (#187) written on it.Too bad it was stolen in 1983. It was replaced by an Apple //e that I still have in a box.
The original Apple II will be 35 years old this year.
Just ideas.
