I think the only thing you can do is model the wreckage. Then as it is rebuilt, gradually update your model. ๐Ÿ˜„

Sorry to hear about the fire. It is kind-a sad when landmarks are gone. Maybe you can expand the project to model the 'historic' Barrie featuring models of now vanished and almost forgotten buildings from around town.

          Regards, Ross

Well, Bruce, I regularly model old buildings that may have perished centuries ago... ๐Ÿ˜’

              Thanks Bruce for those words...

You know, what came to my mind thinking and reading these posts here that when you create the kmz file (upload to the Warehouse?) and finally it will be part of the real GE 3D layer, you can add a link in the description to the "story" how it burnt down and provide a link to how it used to look like. Then people would still have an idea and GE would dtill remaing "contemporary".

Here is the updated model of the burnt out shell. What a pity!!

It's both depressing that there was a fire and amazing that the model is up to date - and that the original is still available in the alternate universe of SU.

I never thought about the old and gone, till I saw you guys talking about it. The first thing that comes to mind is the San Francisco fire around 1908 or so, that would be neat. I only wish I could model like the rest of you can.

Don't worry about things you have no control over. Worry is a lack of Faith!
