Post Pro animation

Thanks for adding this section in the forum! (great work Davidh)
I was wondering if anybody used the Photoshop batch action system for making animations?
For example, I used proper animation to make a quick animation in sketchup. Rendering the 360 output images would have taken forever, so I ran it through a batch action in photoshop to add some interest.(a little too much fake HDR)
Then I assembled the images into windows movie maker (hey its free) and instant short movie. I was thinking I could do a lot of things with batch processing. Maybe render the main element and combine that with sketchup output images? I guess I'm looking for speed...and a nice product.
Is this a good idea? Anybody have some tips?
I made some quick movies to explain possible concepts to a county engineer before starting final design. Pretty basic movies. made very quickly.http://www.tallbridgeguy.com/2011/11/15/county-bridge-concept-again-sigh/

Thanks!
