there's a lot that makes me feel insignificant. . .the 30 minute speed challenge for instance. . .but not this. I prefer to think of myself as a small part of a great eternal canvas. . .(oh please )
probably a splotch of paint in the wrong place but at least I'm part of it!
amazing tho. . .I've been to Wyoming plenty of times, but seeing it like this. . . mind-boggling!

Prepare for your Jaw to drop yet again
I'm wanrnin' ya. .. It’ll fall so hard it’ll hurt your chest.
A lot of this is my own beautiful UTAH! Canyonlands, Arches, and the World Famous Delicate Arch.

Hi, David_H:
I have not had the opportunity to visit this site. Even the pictures I have seen can cause one to ponder.
I was wondering if the National Park Service, or whoever, has had to do anything toward preservation of this landmark? It seems I might have read about a similar one falling?I remember while flying to San Francisco a few years ago and looking out the window and seeing a butte or a mesa which appeared like a T bone steak. I might have been hungry, but I wondered how I would find that formation on Google Earth, and see if it even had a name. I tried to work from the flight path for that specific flight on that date, but couldn't quite figure it out.

Yeah. . .
The Delicate Arch is one of our state treasures. It's on our license plates and a stamp. (those are things that people used to stick on things called "letters" to be mailed via a service called the" post office" )
Arches being sandstone will fall from time to time, but the Delicate is doing fine. However, people are not allowed to climb it, cut their initials into it, or otherwise deface. If you ever get to Arches Nat'l Park, treat yourself to about a 3 mile hike (that is a bit tricky--as I remember it) and as you come around the this bend, it will just appear in front of you and you will be so stunned and awestruck, you'll fall off of the cliff. . .so be careful.
as far as the T-bone steak goes. .. I can't help you on that one, but now I'm hungry too.
so Thanks for that one. . .
