Hey is there a way to easily snap an array of components to the topgraphic information Google Earth imports? Think solar arrays that need to be ground mounted, and if there are hundreds or thousands of these ground mounts, how can I easily snap the pedestals to the changing topographic surface?

Also, does anyone know if there is a way to easily find the x-y-z locations of each component? Say if they can snap to the "surface" at the point they occupy, is there an easy way to read out again hundreds of precise component locations?

Thank you for any help you can provide!

        Hi Chris,

Have a look at Drop.rb here:
        http://www.smustard.com/script/Drop

It will drop a series of groups/components to the next surface they reach while falling. The "drop point" is always the group/component origin so make sure it is somewhere you like them to touch ground.
